There has not been much activity with the club over the last month and therefore I have very little to put in this month's article. We should see our race schedule pick up this next month and other club activities such as the builders group will be starting up again. I hope to see you at the meeting this Saturday. FIELD DAY Field day this year was held June 28 and 29 at the clubhouse. A reasonable number of club members met starting at 11:00 AM to checkout the antennas and gear to make sure it is all working. The station was put on the air at 12:00. There was a problem with the generator, so regular power was used. The radio room was running voice and CW. There was a PSK station set up to demonstrate that mode. A satellite demonstration was held in the afternoon. This year Field Day was treated more like a social event and not so much as a contest although contest contacts were made throughout the Field Day period. There was lots of visiting and learning opportunities.
